We are looking to recruit a Service Manager for an extremely busy garage/transport logistics business. We are an independent garage/logistics business with over 42 year’s experience offering a wide range of services including MOT Testing, servicing, tyres, exhaust, batteries, brakes, vehicle transport logistics, bodywork etc.

This role is one of the most critical roles within our company as the person acts as the relationship manager between the customer and workshop. We are looking for an individual with excellent inter-personal skills as well as time management and organisational skills to ensure the efficient booking, management and hand over of customer’s and company vehicles.

Main duties will include (but not be limited to);

Customer Satisfaction: To take responsibility to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels by building trust, communicating well and exceeding customer expectations. To provide a quality of service that means Customers would not consider using our competitors.

Data Quality: To ensure customer data is collected correctly and updated into our systems to ensure the content of our customer database exceptional.

Customer Follow-up: To maintain contact with and follow up every customer from the service department to ensure they were completely satisfied, their expectations were met, any issues are addressed and their custom retained.

Additionally the role would include dealing with customer enquiries in person and by telephone, quoting for repairs, accurately recording faults with vehicles/completing job sheets, referring to service histories, obtaining authority for repairs, parts management, operating workshop loading system, creating invoices, obtaining payment before releasing jobs, using a Dealer management System (Navigator) etc.

Past experience in this type of role within the Motor Industry is essential. You must have a current driving licence and ideally have a strong mechanical background.
