A team comprising Andy Howdle, Transport & Quality Manager at Birway recently completed a 10k memory walk on Cannock Chase in aid of the charity ‘A World Without Dementia’.
Memory Walks have been taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and have seen thousands of people raising money for a world without dementia as they go.
Andy was joined by Sarah, Steve, Marie and Lady the Dog for the walk, with the aim of raising money and celebrating loved ones affected by the condition.
Every year, 225,000 people are diagnosed with dementia. That’s much-loved mums, grandparents and partners in need of support.
This year’s Memory Walk campaign is the biggest ever with around 100,000 people taking part at over 30 locations across the land.
Andy and the team raised over £600 from their walk but can still be sponsored retrospectively to help add even more to the total for this most worthy of causes.
