COVID 19: Important customer update – we’re here to help

Due to these unprecedented times we have taken the following decision with regard to the day to day running of our business:

Garage Workshop Services

The garage workshop side of our business will remain open for essential maintenance, servicing and MOT’s of vehicles to ensure all key workers and their supply chain that need to get to work can do so.

We have several front-line customers from the NHS and Police force, alongside delivery drivers that are delivering food parcels and medicine to those who need them, who are still requiring our services at this critical time.

We are also providing a collection and drop off service on vehicles to any customers that require it, whereby we will telephone you once outside your premises upon collection and delivery so keys can be exchanged, ensuring social distancing and safety as these are paramount to our service. Payments will ideally be taken over the phone via credit/debit card prior to delivery and all paperwork/receipts will be left inside your vehicle.

Our reception area is fitted with an antibacterial gel dispenser and we kindly ask that you use this on entering/exiting reception. Please DON’T attend our premises if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 as per the NHS guidelines:

a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

We have 2 courtesy cars and 3 courtesy vans available to assist in keeping key workers mobile. If you are a key worker and require the assistance of our garage, please call our office number on 01902 631514.

Vehicle Transportation Services

Our vehicle transportation service has also been scaled back to now only cater for the movement of any key worker vehicles and the immediate supply chain.

If you require the assistance of our transport division please contact us on 01902 609 579 or email transport@birway.co.uk

We will continue to update you via our website and social media channels over the coming weeks and advise when we can fully re-open. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our front line services for the amazing work they are doing. Keep safe everyone.
